Terms of Use

Last updated: 20.01.2025

1. Scope and General Information

These Terms of Use govern the use of LootSpectrum, a web application that processes data scraped from the LootSpectrum Chrome Extension. The service is primarily used to analyze inventory events (such as case openings, trade-ups, or in-game drops) from Steam and Counter-Strike.

2. Registration and Access

Users can access a limited version of the service under /stats without registration. However, to utilize the full functionality of LootSpectrum, registration is required. Available authentication methods include:

  • Google
  • Discord
  • Email and password

Due to the nature of Counter-Strike, where skins can be bought and sold only from the age of 18, users must confirm that they are at least 18 years old to register.

3. Subscription and Payments

Most features of LootSpectrum are free to use. However, certain features, such as the Trade-Up analysis, are exclusive to Supporters. Supporters also receive early access to new features as part of their contribution to the development of the platform.

  • There is only one subscription tier.
  • Subscription is billed monthly and can be canceled at any time.
  • No minimum contract term applies.
  • As the subscription provides access to digital content immediately upon purchase, refunds are not offered.

Refund policies comply with applicable legal protections for digital goods, and users acknowledge this upon subscription.

4. Data and Content

The content displayed within LootSpectrum is based on data collected by the LootSpectrum Chrome Extension. The application processes and organizes this data for better visualization.

  • LootSpectrum does not display screenshots.
  • Public statistics are presented in an aggregated, anonymous format (e.g., "Out of 1 million cases, 2,900 gold skins were unboxed").
  • No data is directly traceable to individual users.
  • LootSpectrum does not store or display Discord messages or user communications.

Data accuracy depends on the information provided by Steam. While LootSpectrum strives for accuracy, it cannot guarantee complete correctness.

5. Liability and Service Availability

LootSpectrum provides its services "as is." The platform cannot be held responsible for:

  • Data inaccuracies arising from Steam's API.
  • Any consequences arising from incorrect or outdated data.
  • Service interruptions or downtime.

Users acknowledge that the service depends on external providers (such as Steam and hosting services) and that availability cannot be guaranteed at all times.

6. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of Germany. The place of jurisdiction for any disputes arising from the use of LootSpectrum is Saarland, Germany.

7. Changes to Terms of Use

LootSpectrum reserves the right to update these terms as necessary. Users will be informed of significant changes, and continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
