How do I read the price history chart?

0:14 · no sound

The chart on an item page draws one cheapest-listing price per day for the condition you picked. Point at it to read a day; 30 days are free, while 90 days and 1 year are Supporter.

Before you start

Step by step

  1. Open an item and find the “Price history” card; under its title the sub-line, such as “Field-Tested · cheapest listing”, names the condition and what is drawn.
  2. Read the line from left to right: it has one point per day, the high and low prices of the range sit on its left edge, and five dates run along the bottom.
  3. Move the mouse over the chart, or drag a finger sideways, to see the price and date of any day; the arrow keys, Home, End and Esc do the same without a mouse.
  4. Pick another wear in the condition row and the line and the sub-line change to that condition.
  5. Switch the range with the chips: “30d” is free, “90d” and “1y” show a padlock until you are a Supporter.

Good to know

  • The chart always uses Skinport, whatever your price source is; the line under the chart names the market and the day it was updated.
  • Supporters see “90d” and “1y” as working chips and a “Compare this item” link instead of “Unlock 12 months”.
  • If a longer range fails to load, the chart stays on 30 days and says “The longer range didn’t load. Try again in a moment.”
  • On Doppler-style items the chart follows the finish you picked.
  • An item with no price history has no chart card at all.
  • Past four months the dates along the bottom change from days to months.
