Inventory opens on your newest snapshot, and a fresh one is one click away
The Inventory page shows your latest snapshot whatever day it was taken, says where its figures come from, and offers “Take snapshot” right there when today has none.
What changed
- Before, only a snapshot from the same day counted; at midnight the page fell back to an estimate from your trade history and the numbers jumped. Now the newest snapshot stays until a newer one arrives.
- The pill in the header always names the source: “Snapshot · 13:42”, “Snapshot · yesterday” or “Estimated”.
- When there is no snapshot from today, a slim line above the inventory says so, with a “Take snapshot” button. It reads your Steam inventory in place, shows the progress, uploads the snapshot and refreshes the figures.
Without the extension
The same line offers “Get the extension”, since a snapshot is read through it. An estimated inventory is built from your synced history and counts the items in storage units; only a snapshot leaves them out.
