How to use LootSpectrum

Six short steps from installing the extension to a complete history. Each has a silent clip of about fifteen seconds. For anything else, ask the help centre.

1. Install the extension and connect it

LootSpectrum reads your history through a browser extension. Add it from the Chrome Web Store or Firefox Add-ons; Brave, Edge and other Chromium browsers use the Chrome extension. Then sign in and open Sync: the page finds the extension by itself and shows it as Connected. Click “Grant access” and confirm the two browser prompts so the extension can reach Steam.

2. Make sure you are signed in to Steam

The extension uses the Steam session in your browser, so you must be logged in at steamcommunity.com in the same browser. On the Sync page, click “Check now” next to Steam session. If it says “Not signed in”, log in on Steam and click “Check again”.

3. Run your first full sync

Click “Start full sync” and keep the tab open. The counter shows the events pulled from Steam. How long it takes depends on how long your history is; Steam limits the speed. You can click “Stop & save” at any time and everything pulled so far is kept. When it is done, the page shows how many new events were saved.

4. Keep it up to date

After your first sync, the Sync page shows how many days of events are waiting. “Catch up now” reads from today back to your latest saved event, so only the new events are added.

How do I sync only my newest events?

5. The four ways to sync

Full sync reads your whole history. Catch-up reads what is new since your last sync. Quick sync uploads only what the extension already cached in this browser, without asking Steam. Custom range fetches one window of dates, which is useful for filling a gap; the Coverage block on the Sync page shows the range you have stored and whether gaps were found. The Sync page also links to Live session, which follows openings as they happen.

What is the difference between the four sync modes?

6. Take an inventory snapshot

Your Inventory is first rebuilt from your synced history and marked “Estimated”. Click “Take snapshot” and the extension reads your actual CS2 inventory from Steam, including float, pattern and stickers. Items inside storage units are not included.

What is a snapshot, and why does my inventory say “Estimated”?

Syncing from the Steam page

You can also start on Steam itself. Open steamcommunity.com/my/inventoryhistory while logged in; the extension adds a panel to that page that can read your history there. What it reads is cached in your browser, and Quick sync on the Sync page uploads it.

Steam rate limits

Steam limits how often its inventory history can be requested. When Steam asks the extension to slow down, it waits and retries on its own; the counter on the Sync page pauses during that time and then continues. Long histories and very active accounts take longer. Just leave the tab open.

Resetting your data

If your synced statistics look wrong, you can delete them and start over. Open Settings, go to “Your data” and click “Clear data”. This removes every synced event and your sync history; snapshots, watchlist and loadouts stay. Then run a full sync again. How deleting works

Data accuracy

The extension reads what Steam shows on your inventory history page. It does not access your Steam credentials, and if Steam fails to list an event, the extension cannot capture it either. You can compare at any time with your Steam inventory history page. Is the extension safe?
