Does it find cases I opened before I installed it?
0:11 · no sound
Yes. A full sync reads your Steam inventory history from today backwards, so cases you opened years before installing the extension are included with their original dates, as far as Steam still lists them.
Step by step
- Steam holds your CS2 inventory history on its side, whether or not the extension was installed when you opened the cases.
- On the Sync page, a full sync starts from today and walks your Steam history back, page by page, until Steam has nothing older to return.
- Click “Start full sync” once the extension is installed; the page promises to walk “your Steam history back to your first event”.
- Old case openings, trade-ups and drops then appear in Statistics and Activity with their original dates.
- Open the Coverage block on the Sync page to see the date range you have stored, and compare its first date with your own memory.
Good to know
- LootSpectrum can import only what Steam's inventory history page still lists. If Steam does not list an event, it cannot be imported.
- Only CS2 and CS:GO events are read.
- You do not need the extension to read this answer; installing it is the next step.
- If the stored range looks too short, Steam may have ended the run early. Run the full sync again; events you already have are skipped.
