What is a dry spell, and what does “Since last Covert” mean?

A dry spell is the number of case openings since your last hit of that rarity, counted over your whole synced history. “Since last Covert 212” means 212 openings have passed since you last opened a Covert.
Before you start
- Your history synced at least once: How do I run my first full sync?
Step by step
- Open Statistics and choose the Cases tab.
- Find the tiles “Since last Covert” and “Since last Extraordinary”; the big number is how many case openings have passed since your last hit of that rarity.
- Read the line under the number: “last hit” and a month and year tell you when that hit was.
- If the line says “never hit”, you have no hit of that rarity in your synced history, and the number is every opening you have synced.
- Remember that a knife counts as Extraordinary, so it resets “Since last Extraordinary” and leaves “Since last Covert” alone.
Good to know
- A dry spell is counted in openings, not days, and only weapon case openings count.
- It appears on the Cases tab as two tiles, and in the Overview's Highlights as a “Dry spell” row for Covert only.
- The pair is fixed, Covert and Extraordinary. It does not follow the “Counts as a hit” chips or the year menu on the Luck page.
- An opening whose result could not be matched to the catalogue is not counted, so the number can read slightly low.
- The number is only as complete as your synced history; older openings that Steam no longer lists cannot be included.
- A knife does not reset Covert because in game a knife belongs to the gold tier, which LootSpectrum calls Extraordinary.
- The dry spell is free; it needs no Supporter plan.
