What is the difference between “At the time” and “Today”?

“At the time” values each event at the first price on file from around its day, “Today” at today's listing. Only events with at least one priced result count, which is what “86% of openings priced” tells you.
Before you start
- A Supporter plan: How do I become a Supporter?
- Your history synced at least once: How do I run my first full sync?
Step by step
- Open a section tab in Statistics, such as Cases, and find the “Then and now” table. It is a Supporter figure.
- Read the “At the time” column: each event is valued at the first price on file from around the day it happened.
- Read the “Today” column: the same events valued at today's listing, the same prices as the Overview.
- Look at the small text next to the title, such as “86% of openings priced”. It is the share of events with a priced result.
- If the share is below 100%, expect Returned to be lower and Net result to be pushed down.
Good to know
- “At the time” uses, per item, the first daily price on or after the event's day on your price source.
- For events older than the price history, “At the time” is the earliest price on file, and today's price if there is none, so the two columns can be equal for old or rarely traded items.
- The case key cost is the same in both columns.
- “N% priced” is the share of the tab's events in which at least one received item has a price today. The noun follows the tab: “openings”, “trade ups” or “drops”.
- An unpriced event still adds its key to Spent but nothing to Returned, so a low percentage pushes Net result down.
- “Return on spend” and “Profitable” under the table use Today only and count only priced events.
- “Most expensive pull” is shown at today's price.
- The “Then and now” table is a Supporter figure; a free account does not see it.
What does “N% of openings priced” mean?
It is the share of the events on this tab in which at least one received item has a price today. The word changes with the tab: “openings” on Cases, Souvenirs and Stickers, “trade ups” on Trade-ups, “drops” on Drops.
The events without a price are still counted in Spent, because their key cost is added, but they add nothing to Returned. A low percentage therefore pushes Net result down. An item has no price when it has no listing today; see which-price.
